Campbell's 3rd Fire Truck Birthday Party

Campbell has developed a healthy obsession with fire trucks and was very clear that he wanted a "Fire Truck Party" this year. So, we called our local fire department and asked if they could come by. They agreed and fortunately there were no fires that day. Since it was 95 degrees we decided to skip the fire truck themed games and just let the kids slide and splash in the water. We all had a ton of fun, but it's hard to imagine our little guy is actually 3!

"Oh yeah, Oh yeah!"

King of the castle.

Does he look like he's having any fun?

Here comes the fire truck, sirens and lights blaring.

So happy!

The firemen took him inside the front and showed him around.

Standing on the front with his friends Ella and Jace.

The whole family.

They even let him spray the hose.

Then he immediately turned to spray the adults, including daddy with the camera.

Hot pink fire truck cake. Apparently the color red requires more than 4 whole bottles of red food coloring. Most frustrating art project I've even been involved with.

mmmmmmm!
Is there something on my cheek?

Presents!!!

Utah Trip

Every time we go to Utah in the summer, it is like a little slice of heaven. The kids get so much fresh air and never want to leave. Campbell had so much fun with his "Buddies" Caden, Carson and George. He wanted nothing to do with us no matter what we bribed him with (ex: trampoline, 4 wheeler ride, boat ride, etc.) he would say "nah, I want to play with my buddies". It was almost like having a teenager.

Anyway it was an amazing trip filled with fishing, boating, weddings, reunions, friends, snorkeling a hot springs geyser, ATV riding, hiking, swimming, camp fires, paintballing, board games, volleyball, jumping on the trampoline, and most importantly just hanging with the family. Thanks everyone for making the trip so much fun!

Cool old tree and canoe at the fishing lake.

Boys fishing. George has one on the line.

Campbell's first fish. He said "daddy I don't want it to eat me!"

Caden, Wyatt, Campbell and Carson on our hike.

Hiking up by the Olympic Park. Beautiful day.

Jojo, Emer, Papa, Campbell, Carson and Caden eating popcorn and watching Peter Pan, outside on a projector screen. Thanks Dennis!

Riding the chair lift up to the Alpine Slide.

Getting ready to go down.

Campbell laughing and yelling "go daddy, faster, beat mama".
I totally let them win.

Campbell swinging with Aunt "Yaya". She's the best.

Campbell trying to ride the electric skate board by himself. Not happenin'.

Caden took Campbell for a ride.

Gigi pushing Wyatt on our walk.

Wyatt crawling on the most pristine lawn I have ever seen.

Wyatt wearing his denim diapers. Like the commercial says,
"It's the coolest you'll look pooping your pants". They're totally right.

Summer Fun!

So, I know I'm a little behind, but this is the beginnig of my catching up process.

Here are some fun pictures from our summer,
including a couple from our trip to New Smyrna Beach, FL.

Playing in the pool and of course the fire truck must come in.

Slid n Slide!!!

I like to refer to this picture as "Deer in headlights". It was taken at Campbell's school program where he literally sat, hunched over, with his feet dangling back and forth and didn't sing one word. Not one. He knew the songs, but for approx. 10 minutes nothing came out.
My stomach hurt from laughing afterward.

The 4th of July.

Wyatt loving the water and the delicious flavor of the sand.

Daddy teaching Campbell to surf.
He loved it and was constantly begging to go ride his surfboard.

My beach boys :)

Campbell torturing Wyatt... as usual.

Campbell and his BFF Jace at Chucky Cheese on a 100 degree day.
They rode on this ride until someone politely told them to get off, they have to take turns.

Going for our daily walk.

I told Campbell to go to time out. He ran away and hid in the bed. By the time I went to check on him he was so tangled in my jersey sheets he could't get out. As he begged for help, I could't help but laugh and run for my camera.

Wyatt loves "helping" me unload the dishwasher.

Campbell learned how to pedal his tricycle.
